Our Team

  • Two men sitting inside a vehicle, both giving thumbs up. The man on the left, with short hair, is wearing a white t-shirt, holding a phone, and has a black watch. The man on the right, with short light hair and facial stubble, is wearing an orange shirt and has an orange safety vest hanging on the seat. Both are smiling.

    Myles Edwards

Nobody motivates like Myles! As a former Scottish 1500 champion turned marathon runner Myles knows what its like to suffer on the track! A founding member and director at GEF, Myles has supported numerous cycling challenges over the years. Always positive and always there to help make things happen Myles will be on hand with water, food, encouragement and some fairly dodgy jokes.

  • A woman with long light brown hair smiling and standing against an orange textured wall, wearing a black sleeveless top with orange embroidery that says 'CATHY ELIZA EDWARDS Foundation'.

    Kayleigh Paterson Donald

You’re 200 miles in and beginning to fade, you crest yet another leg-burning climb and there’s Kayleigh- with a cowbell or a song (or both). A key co-ordinator for GEF, Kayleigh will not only ensure her group is fully supported and encouraged, she will also sort you out with your cycling top, accommodation, pies, beers, meals and souveneirs.

  • Mat Northcroft on a stop at Balleter during a North East 250 challenge

    Mat Northcroft

Mat is the instigator of many a mad cycle challenge and has, over the years, completed some weird and wonderful distance challenges (sometimes for GEF, sometimes out of curiosity). While jovial, relaxed and encouraging, Mat does meticulously plan and test out his ideas. He’s also known on Strava for his bakery -based saddle shots. He’ll be there to lead a team with his invaluable route knowledge, experience and a van full of pies. All fuel is good fuel.
